April 27th, St. Augustine, FL -- Speedway officials announced today the addition of Austin Computer Systems as the "Official Computer" of Florida Speed Park. In addition to supplying the speedway with state of the art computer technology, Austin is offering a steeply discounted computer package to speedway race teams and fans.

"This is going to be a great relationship with a relatively new company that is dedicated to professionalism and service," said speedway manager Louis Smith. "Lorin (Austin) and his staff are committed to seeing that as many people as possible, especially those involved with racing, have affordable access to the wealth of information and assets that all of this new technology provides."

As part of the speedway's partnership with Austin, the two will work together in getting more race teams online, as well as implementing a live broadcast of the races over the internet.

"Part of the speedway's mission is to promote our drivers," said Smith. "You can be one of the best weekly short track racers there is, and if you're not in the right place at the right time, you may not ever get the opportunity to advance in this sport. Austin Computers can help not only the speedway, but the drivers also, accomplish this."
