This year's (2001) event will be at Irwindale Speedway on Sunday, June 24 from 7 am to 1 pm. This is the largest and most interesting event of its kind on earth ... if you are an automotive enthuisast (old cars, new cars, racing cars, whatever) this is the place for you.

Not a car show!

This is a huge gathering of automotive literature, art, toys, gegaws, and what-have-you related to our favorite subject ... cars!

Free parking and admission ... and the track snackbars will be open for your dining and drinking pleasure.

Sunday, june 24, 2001 ... see you here!

Next years date set:

The 20th Annual Society of Automotive Historians (Southern California Chapter) Literature Faire & Exchange will be held at Irwindale Speedway on Sunday June 30, 2002.

"We like to secure our dates as far in advance as practical," said SAHh Director Harold Osmer, "This allows us ample time to plan as well as giving us a chance to alert our vendors, many of which like to reserve their same spaces each year."

The Literature Faire & Exchange provides an opportunity for people with collections of automotive related books, posters, programs, brochures, and memorabilia to meet, sell, and swap their material. This event is unique in that no cars or parts are allowed for sale. Admission and parking is free.

This will mark the fourth consecutive year for the Literature Faire to be held at Irwindale Speedway after outgrowing other venues. "This event is great for all of us," said Facilities Manager Chris Morgan, "The Literature Faire attracts a lot of people to the speedway who might not otherwise come out. sah's organization, set-up, and clean-up are first-rate and we are proud to host the event."

The Society of Automotive Historians is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the research, documentation, and publication of automotive history.
