Auto GP welcomes Trident Racing
Trident Racing will be on the starting grid of the 2010 Auto GP season. The championship organized by Coloni Motorsport, sporting a 1.200.000 euros prize money, a very fast car and a prestigious calendar, is raising more and more interest in the motorsport world, up to its highest levels.
Trident Racing, founded by Maurizio Salvadori, a top-notch manager in the music and construction fields, has indeed been among the top running teams in some of the best racing series in the motorsport world, clinching wins and podium finishes and fielding talented drivers like Gianmaria Bruni (former F.1 driver with Minardi), Pastor Maldonado and Mike Conway. Besides Salvadori, the team is led by Luca Zerbini and Giorgio Piccolo: the two experienced Managing Directors are working with the rest of the staff in the team's modern factory, which is placed near Novara.
Trident Racing is the fourth team to announce his commitment to the series, after DAMS, SuperNova and Ombra Racing.
Enzo Coloni: "I'm really happy to welcome Trident Racing in Auto GP. Their entry for us means having not only one of the `cream of the crop' italian teams, but also one of the best racing outfits in Europe. That's a clear proof that our championship reputation is very strong among the elite of motorsport".
Maurizio Salvadori: "I think that Coloni did a very good job mixing some really winning features, like the fast Lola-Zytek car, the prestigious tracks where the series will race, a huge prize money and the low budget required, considering the performance of the car. All of this makes Auto GP a really attractive series. Our objective will be fighting for the win: to do that we will field talented drivers, hoping to bring the best ones to GP2".
