Series leader Piscopo targets maiden win

Edoardo Piscopo arrives in Spa as the Auto GP championship leader. The italian driver has a 4 points gap on his friend and competitor Adrien Tambay and a 7 points advantage on Luca Filippi and Duncan Tappy, tied for third place. It's an important gap but it's not enough to feel safe: that's why Edoardo will push as hard as he can also in Spa, also because he's still hunting his first 2010 win.

"That's true. While I feel that consistency is the most important thing to win a championship - Piscopo explains - I must confess that I'm a bit tired of finishing second and third. Three podiums on three finished races is a good result, but I want to win so I will give my best in Spa. This doesn't mean that I will turn off my brain, I will never drive like that, but I will be even more determined because if winning is already something special, clinching success in Spa would be amazing. Here my best result is a second place in F.Renault 2.0, I hope that I will improve that!".

What's the feeling leading the championship with such a competitive grid?

"The strange thing is that I feel I'm the same driver as last year, but in 2009 results were lacking because the car was breaking all the time and its performances were nonsensical. Now that everything is ok, seeing that I'm leading is a good feeling, especially because I'm fighting with drivers who are very talented and have a great experience even in GP2. I've always felt up to the task, but now fighting with them on a par feels great. I have to say thanks to DAMS for this, we are building a very special relationship".

Does being the leader makes you feel under pressure?

"I think that pressure will be on the others. Keeping the leadership won't be easy, but being behind is not easier at all".
