FIRST DAY OF F.3000 TESTS IN MAGIONE: PUGLISI ON THE TOP.
Successful debut of the teams "It Loox Racing" (Sebastiani) and "Traini" (Cozzari). Rigon tests the 2008 car.
At the end of the first day of Formula 3000 tests in Magione, experience has made the difference with Puglisi, already protagonist of some races in 2006, who was able to set the fastest time of the session. The 21 years old driver, at the wheel of a Minardi / GP Racing car, has signed an excellent time of 1'03 "841.
Behind him, the Sebastiani twins with Niky just one tenth faster than his brother Valentino. Today it was the second experience for them with the B02/50 car after a first test last winter. The Sebastianis will take part also to tomorrow session in order to get a good training in view of their participation to the 2008 Euroseries 3000 season with the team "It Loox Racing", which can certainly be glad for the excellent today debut.
It was instead the first time in F3000 for Hugo Oliveras, Fabio Beretta Jr. and Matteo Cozzari. Cozzari, 17 years old from Perugia and current champion in the Italian F3 "Trofeo Nazionale CSAI", was the author of an excellent performance, driving Team Traini car (5th overall).
Very good debut also for the Mexican Oliveras, PanamGP Series champion, who has steadily improved his lap times during the session without making any mistake. He was therefore able to reach a good feeling with the car in view of a possible entry into the Championship next year.
The young Elk Motorsport Brazilian, Fabio Beretta Rossi Jr., coming from F3 Sudam, will continue testing tomorrow.
The 2008 car went also on the track, with paddleshift and new suspensions. The current F.3000 champion, Davide Rigon, tested it and was absolutely enthusiast of the performance of the car.
Testing will continue tomorrow with the debut of the Spanish F3 champion, Maximo Cortes, and fellow Zapata: Mark Genè, Ferrari F1 tester, has already arrived in Magione to support them.
