F.3000 Italian Championship / Euroseries 3000 back in Italy

The half-point in F3000 Italian Championship and Euroseries 3000 comes this weekend, back in Italy after traveling in Spa (Belgium) and Budapest (Hungary). The fifteen singleseaters, all Zytek-Lola B02/50, will fire the challenge in one of the best racetracks in the world. The Series comes in Tuscany with Giacomo Ricci, of Fisichella Motor Sport, leader with 55 points, only three points clear of his team-mate, Marco Bonanomi. Ricci did an awesome job until now, collecting points in all the eight races, with four wins, but Bonanomi has proved to be really fast by getting all the four poles, three victories, and a great result in the World Series Renault tests in Misano.

The F.3000 Italian Championship rankings are very close as well as Ricci, with 6 races still to go, is just one point ahead of Bonanomi, 17 points ahead of Nocera and 18 points ahead of Tuka Rocha.

And it is exactly for the Brazilian driver the third Minardi car which will be entered from now on, along with the cars of Juan Caceres and Roldan Rodriguez. Rocha is third in standings, in front of Caceres, and all the crew wants finally taste the winner's champagne.

Who really doesn't want to give up is Vitaly Petrov, brilliant winner in Budapest. The Russian from Euronova, fifth with 18 points, will try to get into the fight between the two top-teams. The series finds Glauco Solieri back too, now with a B02/50 Lola of the Vanni-Traini team, so side-by-side with Matteo Cressoni. Other drivers are in search of points too: Autosport's duo composed by Oliver Martini and Ivan Bellarosa, plus Stefano Gattuso and Gavin Cronje for Autosport.
