Siedler goes for Hattrick in European F3000
Norbert Siedler is the new benchmark in Euro 3000 with 2 wins and 3 pole positions after only 3 race weekends. And he is keen to complete his third win in a row at the upcoming 4th championship round at Mugello:
"Although our rivals should be more competitive this time I will give my very best to be on top of the podium again", says Norbert, who is now in the lead with 20 points ahead of Max Busnelli and Timo Lienemann (16 points).
The 22-year-old from Wildschönau in Tyrol has never been on the official test track of Ferrari before which doesn't bother him, as he is a master in adapting quickly to new situations. "When Norbert arrived in Homestead for his first Champ Car test", his manager Edi Nikolic confirms, "everything was new to him: A new car, a new track and new people. It was his first day in a race car for 4 month but his lap times were absolutely competitive."
Anyway, that's history now and Mugello is another challenge. With its 15 curves winding through the Tuscan hills, only 30 kilometres north of Florence, it is especially one of the most popular circuits for the drivers.
"I liked what I have seen on TV so far", says Norbert, "although that doesn't play an essential role. As always I will walk around the track and than use my brain to find a good set up together with my engineer. That's the first and most important step on a race weekend."
