Alessandro Bonetti takes his first podium

On the challenging Mugello circuit, Draco driver Alessandro Bonetti took his first podium of the season, in a hard race that has been interrupted by heavy rain after 12 laps.

Italian driver, who in qualifying set a fantastic time after only two laps, remedied a bad start with a great recovery, and he was able to finish in third position. His team-mate Timo Lienemann had the disadvantage of racing for the first time on this track, that is long, technical and also wet today... Eighth in qualifying, at the race start German driver caught up several places, then he had to slow down, so, he ended up in eighth position.

Mrs Nadia Morini - Draco Team Manager: "I'm satisfied. In qualifying Alessandro Bonetti set a very fast time after only two laps. Unfortunately he went off the track, I'm sure he could have taken the pole. I don't judge the eighth time of Timo Lienemann, because I know that it's very hard to race on this track for the first time, Mugello is a long and technical circuit. In the race, Bonetti had a bad start, then he found the right rhythm, in spite of the rain and the slick tyres he finished third. On the contrary, Lienemann made an incredible start, he picked up several positions, then, because of the track conditions, he lost his advantage and he finished eighth. On the whole, I'm pleased with our work, our drivers are improving, we can make a good job in Misano".
