ADM and Siedler are still fighting for Euro 3000 title

Monza, 8th October 2005 - ADM Motorsport completed this years' European F3000 with another podium for Norbert Siedler (2nd) but the fight for the title still goes on, as championship promoters Peroni Promotion declared Massimiliano Busnelli as their winner. Renato Melchioretti whose driver Norbert Siedler has scored exactly the same amount of points, but more pole positions, is appealing against this decision.

Renato Melchioretto (Team Principal)
"The situation is pretty clear for us, as both drivers have scored exactly the same points, but Norbert has 5 pole positions under his belt against 2 of Busnelli, which in this situation is a clear advantage for him. On the other hand side we have been confronted with the fact, that Busnelli was 10th at Misano but in that race he retired after 14 laps which is not 90% of a race distance. We are now appealing against the decision of Gruppo Peroni and we are willing to bring that cause to the a FIA court."

Norbert Siedler (Car Nr. 7, P2)
"It is just a nightmare, because before that race everyone told me that a 2nd place would be enough to secure the title. At this point I must admit that I had never expected so many obstacles this year but in this situation I could not think about the past but do what was necessary without taking any risks. I made an average start and gave up my 1st place to him (Busnelli) on the way to the first chicane, which was not big problem for me. As he was a little bit slower I tried to overtake him, but he tried to push me into the grass. It was just too risky and I decided to stay behind him."

Overshadowed by the title fight, that still goes on the other side of the pitwall, Siedlers' team mates Davide Valesecchi and Fausto Ippoliti finished the race in 6th and 7th position respectively.
