STILL A WIN FOR KHAN AND TP FORMULA
After the success achieved at the last round in Mugello, TP Formula is back on the higher step of the podium, with its team leader Adam Khan.
The Anglo-Pakistani, starting from the pole, has been author of a perfect start and has then imposed his rhythm pulling a gap very quickly. The consisting advantage on the opponents has then allowed him to manage the race until the checkered flag.
The victory rewards the team for the great job done during the whole weekend, but only partially cancel the disappointment for the success vanished yesterday in the first race.
After a good start of the week-end in which Khan had scored the best performance already in the first free practice session, traffic problems during qualifying did not allow TP Formula to go for the fourth consecutive pole position. Third on grid Khan did a superlative start that would have easily permit him to take the leadership, but, closed between Leal and Onidi, he could do nothing to avoid the contact. He had then returned to the pits in order to repair the damaged car and, thanks to the superb job done by the team and to the intervention of the Safety Car, Khan rejoined the track with 40 seconds delay from the back of the group. After 10 laps he had filled the gap proving to have an impressive pace and showing that he would have deserved the top positions. Nevertheless his race was finished a couple of laps after due to the damages occurred to the car at the start.
Gianluca Pomozzi (TP Formula): "I really want to congratulate with Adam as thanks to his determination and maturity he managed to achieve the success in a very unlucky weekend. We are therefore very satisfied for having added another great result to the palmares of TP Formula, a team born just a few months ago."
