Successful weekend leads Bonanomi to win and championship lead at Magny-Cours

Thanks to a widely positive weekend, Barco Bonanomi managed to take his first win in the Euroseries F.3000 at Magny-Cours, and clinch the lead in standings in the second event of the season.

"It's been a particular weekend explains Bonanomi as we entered Practice, Qualifying and Race 1 all on Saturday. Fortunately we did quite a good job in preparing and setting up the car, and we mana- ged to hit the front row with just a minor gap from the pole."

Driving for Bull Racing, Bonanomi hit a great start and took the lead early, cruising at the front until checkered. On Race 2, started with the series' reversed grid, he successfully moved his way up the order taking 5th place, just what he needed to notch a well-deserved lead in standings."

"I made a good start on Race 1, and I started cruising at the top easily. From midpoint on though, I started experiencing braking issues that made my rear wheels block easily. I kept pushing, and took the win I've been expecting since I joined the series. On Race 2 problems emerged again, but I reco- vered well and ended up in 5th. That was what I needed to notch the lead in standings. I hope to push even harder and extend my lead in the next round at Donington, on the first weekend of August."
