The second last round of the Euro 3000 Series was full of excitement. Del Monte, Farfus, Nelson and Grassotto all battled for the victory. Farfus conquered the win by a few centimetres from Fabrizio Del Monte who without a doubt had an excellent race (seventh at the start and second at the finish line). The debut of 16 year old Maxime Hodencq ended four laps before the end of the race due to problems with his brakes. The very young Belgian driver was in 10th place before retiring.
Tancredi Pagiaro, Team Manager
"We had a great show going on at the track and I'm sure none of the spectators were bored. Fabrizio is getting used to being in the top positions and Maxime made his debut with fear at 16 years old. The team has worked hard this season and our second place in the constructor's classification is a sweet pay back for all of our efforts."
Fabrizio Del Monte
"What a race! After the qualifying session that was highly influenced by the ever- changing weather conditions, I found myself seventh on the starting grid. I immediately recuperated with an excellent start: I immediately conquered the third place. From then on, it was a difficult battle against Nelson, Farfus and Grassotto. Grassotto was able to overtake me but I was later able to surpass both him and Farfus. I was then battling with Nelson for the first place. However a slight contact with him, allowed Farfus to overtake us and inherited the first position. I fought till the end but wasn't able to find the right gap.It was a great race and thanks to this victory, I `m now third in the classifications, I'm only two points away from Gianmaria Bruni. GP Racing is also 2° in the constructor's classification. It was great finish for a team who has given me so much. "
"I wasn't able to finish the race due to a technical problem that I had towards the end (a problem with my brakes made me go off track) but I am satisfied with my performance. It wasn't easy for me to get used to a car with all of this power. I would like to thank the team for supporting me throughout the weekend."
