GP Racing in Superfund Euro 3000 Championship With 3 Drivers!
After sealing the deals with Fabrizio Del Monte, vice European champion and Maxime Hodencq, GP Racing has announced that it has also made a deal with the English driver Tor Graves for this upcoming 2004 season.
The Venetian team will therefore have 3 cars participating in the Superfund Euro 3000 championship. The 32 year old Tor Graves is English but was born in Bangkok. Last year, Tor competed in the English Formula 3 championship on board the Manor Motorsport team's Dallara F303Mugen-Honda.
Last week's test session on the Mores circuit in Sardegna, Italy was the determining factor that led to this deal.
Tancredi Magiaro, Team Manager
"Tor Graves has had the desire to race in Superfund Euro 3000 for a while now and he had asked the Manor Motorsport team to recommend a team that was able to offer him a season that would be memorable.
I'm very honoured that Manor Motorsport suggested our team to Tor. This means that we are working well and that other teams have noticed. We did a test session last week on the Mores circuit in Sardegna, Italy. The Mores circuit is becoming our home track and I have to thank Uccio Magliona for letting us run the test. He is the founder on the track and was very enthusiastic about all of this.
The English driver proved to be fast and motivated. He deserves to be in this category. His best time was 44.210 and it is just a second lower than the record we set on this track last year. We therefore decided to give him our 3rd car and to allow him to make his debut in the Superfund Euro 3000 championship."
Tor Graves ,Driver
"I am chuffed to be joining the team of such calibre. GP Racing is a proven and experienced team. The deal has come together a bit late but I am sure the team will be doing everything they can to get me up to speed as soon as possible."
