The two day test session with 6 teams and 26 drivers present in Vallelunga for the Superfund Euro 3000 Series has come to an end. GP Racing's hard work stood out during this test session. GP Racing's driver and European vice champion of this category; Fabrizio Del Monte, the current Italian Formula 3 champion; Fausto Ippoliti and the young Russian driver who is Russia's motor sport hope; Alexander Turumin participated in the team. The Venetian team's Lolas constantly improved their time throughout the two days and set the best time and fastest times of the session.
This was a an important test for Fabrizio Del Monte who is preparing for his next test on the Minardi Formula 1 car on December 12, in Vallelunga. In fact, to get more practice, the Roman driver always used his left foot to brake. On the Euro 3000 Lola, you use your right foot to break. With a Formula 1 car, it's the complete opposite! Del Monte also worked with GP Racing third car that was at his disposition, to try different set ups for the differential. He wasn't expecting to perform well with all this in mind but yet set the second best time on Tuesday and on Wednesday. It's a pity that the red flags come out when he was doing his fastest lap. Best time: 1'04''07
Fausto Ippoliti was the biggest surprise in Vallelunga. He immediately got on well with the team and his results prove this. He was sixth on Tuesday (with used tyres) and was in first place in the morning and afternoon session (with new tyres) on Wednesday. GP Racing's technicians gave Fausto a well balanced car and thus he was able to do his utmost best. Best time: 1'04''35
This was Alexander Turumin's debut in this category. The young Russian driver participated on Tuesday morning only- After gaining confidence with the car, the track and engineers , Turumin improved his time constantly and was eleventh out of the 19 who participated . It was therefore a positive start. Best time: 1'06''05
