Augusto Farfus, of Team Draco, who was the fastest driver in both session1 of the Official common tests and of the free practice of Friday, carried that momentum into afternoon qualifying as he took another fantastic POLE POSITION and assured himself and Team Draco of a front-row start for Sunday's race at Spa-Francorchamps. It is the 4th time on 5 rounds that Farfus and Team Draco have qualified on front row. He has won round 3 and 4 and has finished on podium in each races and has secured 30 points which are now allowing him to lead the Driver's classification.

With a strong 2:06.260 Team Draco Brazilian driver set the fastest time, more than 5 tenths ahead of 2nd qualified Del Monte, performance he was able to repeat the lap after by signing a quickest 2:06.544. Spa-Francorchamps and the Euro 3000 Series paddock welcomed the return of the 2003 champion JAIME MELO, who conquered the 2002 title also by winning at Spa last year. His presence here was very important for Team Draco and its driver because Melo, as 2002 champion, is an excellent reference point. Having qualified almost 1 second ahead him underline that this year is on a good level.

Team Draco driver n7, Sven HEIDFELD, finished Spa-Francorchamps qualifying in best 8th place after having worked a lot in finding his best set up. As it was his first approach on this demanding and fast track, Sven used mainly the two session of common test on Friday, to learn the circuit. During all the day, and in free practice, the German Schumann Reisen driver made some changes on the car in order to find a good set up for himself and his Lola. Knowledge of this race track was a particular advantage for qualifying. Anyway Sven was able to set a representative time of 2:07.814 and will line up 8th on the grid for tomorrow race.

Sven Heidfeld (car #7) -- P8 on the grid "Yesterday, I spent all the day to learn the track and find the better braking points. I worked hard with my engineer to chose a good set up for me and form my car, so we made a lot of changes during the Official test and free practice sessions. Tomorrow I'll start from the 4th row, and I'm really motivated in finishing the race into the point zone".

Augusto Farfus Junior (car #8) -- POLE POSITION "Today pole is another great result for me and my team. In the first part of qualifying I had a problem as the exhaust broke while I was making a fast lap, so I had to come in and change it. Then I pushed hard and improved my time. It is a fantastic day".
