Mrs. Nadia and Mr. Adriano Morini (and all the staff of Team Draco) are going to Donington to come away with best result possible and hopefully that will be with another strong performance, victory for Farfus and first points for Heidfeld. Team Draco, after dominating Pergusa, Monza and Spa weekend races (plus pole at Magny-Cours and podium both at Nürburgring and Magny-Cours), is facing the English event with great determination to extend its Championship lead. With the points margins in both the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships so close, with only four races to go until the close of the 2003 season, victory will be of paramount importance to get closer to the Championship 2003 Title. Next weekend's English Grand Prix therefore promises to be a fascinating event for teams and the numerous fans that will come to see the F3000 race.
German driver Sven HEIDFELD will be back on track, and will take the wheel of his Draco again, after the tremendous accident he had at Spa Francorchamps, 2 weeks ago. Fortunately Sven managed to suffer only a light pain at his left leg, while the car was completely destroyed. The German ace has never been to Donington so he will need to learn the track, he's been pretty quick at picking them up so far this season so it shouldn't be a huge disadvantage, but it is something he has to spend time on that other drivers don't.
Euro 3000 Series LEADER Augusto FARFUS Junior (Lola-Draco n°8) is looking forward to the British 6th round of the championship in order to increase his advantage of 20 points in the drivers standings on follower Bruni. The Brazilian, 19 years old Farfus, is expecting to give another proof of his driving talent and maturity, as a driver and a man. In 5 rounds Augusto has always achieved the podium by finishing 2nd, 3rd, 1st, 1st and 1st and by setting four consecutive pole positions. Last year Farfus qualified in 3rd position and after a not excellent start finished in a best 5th position, missing the podium.
F1 LINK - Both Team Draco drivers (Sven Heidfeld and Augusto Farfus Jnr) are involved in the famous "Associazione Mondiale Piloti" (www.nazionalepiloti.org)whose main purpose is to collect money (throughout football matches) to be then addressed to some associations for charity. Last 25th July Augusto (Sven was still recovering after his bad accident in Spa) took part to another football match that was held in Ancona against the Dorica Press (composed of important journalists of the Marche Region). Augusto played side by side to M. Scumacher and other famous drivers coming from different categories (F1, Rally, F3000,..). In the stadium there were more than 12.000 people and the match finished 5-1 for the drivers. The entire takings were devolved to the AIMA, KINDER IN NOT - UNESCO, IRDA and Andrea Tudisco Associations.
2003 NEWS - Introduction of some news for the 2003 season such as: a greater internationality with a race planned on a F.1 track such as Magny-Cours; a wider TV coverage (2live" and postponed) in all Europe and World (www.filmcenter.com.br); new compound of tires provided by the Avon that have a higher performance of nearly ½ sec, plus a NEW exhaust system which makes the F.3000-Zytek sound more attractive and similar to F.1.
