After a strong performance in Germany (Nurburgring, 04th May) Team Draco is looking forward to Round 2. The Magny-Cours circuit will host the second event of the Euro 3000 Series next week. The French track welcomes the teams and drivers that run in this championship for the first time, since the foundation of the Euro Series. The introduction, into the calendar, of a F.1 track has been followed by positive comments by the team managers and the drivers, as well.
The German Sven Heidfeld, at his first year in F.3000, is very confident for the weekend race and hopes to achieve the good results that both team and himself are waiting for. During all the pre-season test Sven worked hard to adapt himself on his Lola F.3000 and together with his team he well prepared the car for the first race of the season. In Nurburgring, in fact, thanks to a quite perfect car and thanks to a strong performance in test sessions, qualifying and warm-up, Sven was able to start from the first positions. Unfortunately a touch with another car broke all his hopes for a podium.
Young Brazilian talented Farfus, at his second year in Euro 3000 Series, is enjoying his podium (and 6 points) achieved last week in Germany. Since the first pre-season test sessions Augusto demonstrated to have all the qualities to battle for the championship title this year. His will, deep motivation, plus his undoubted driving talent, could allow his to easily reach his target.
Adriano Morini -- Team Principal
"I'm rather satisfied about Sven and Augusto performances. Augusto has always been very fast, since the test sessions, and he has confirmed this excellent result also in qualifying and in warm-up where he signed the fastest time, and during the race bringing to the team its first podium of season 2003. Sven's performance has been very positive; his gap from Farfus was minimum. I believe that he could have easily gained the podium if he had not got in touch with another car, where he damaged his front suspension".
