Team Draco and Farfus to claim pole position, 3rd row for Heidfeld

Team Draco Racing together, with its Brazilian driver Augusto Farfus Junior, obtained a fantastic pole position today in Magny-Cours, at the second round of the championship. Young talented Farfus headed the time sheets in the last few minutes of qualifying and his performance was superbly backed up by team mate Sven Heidfeld who claimed 6th fastest time before having led the classification for the first 20 minutes, with the provisional pole.

1:30.190 is the time that secured the first position on the grid after a battled and wonderful qualifying session. Sven Heidfeld, together with Bruni, Pastorelli, and Farfus himself, made the 45 minutes of qualifying very dynamic and exciting. In the first part the German, Team Draco driver, Sven Heidfeld was able to maintain the provisional pole but after changing the tyres with the new set, he found a lot of traffic on track that didn't allow him to get the most exploit of new tyres and to confirm his performance. The official pole position was secured by his team mate that signed a stunning lap time in 1:30.190 and achieved his first pole position in F.3000.

Sven Heidfeld (car #8) - P6 on the grid

"I'm very satisfied about my performance. I had the lead for the first part of the session. Unfortunately when I regained the track, after having changed in new tyres, I found a lot of traffic so that I could not get the most exploit from them (on this track the tyres give their maximum performance only in the first 3 laps) and preserve the pole. Anyway I'm confident for tomorrow race because today I've driven a car really well balanced and I've better understood the track. I think that tomorrow we can try to reach my first podium".

Augusto Farfus Junior (car #7) - pole position

"I'm really happy for my first pole, despite I was suffering some blisters on my hand and despite the fact that when I did my last pit stop I begun to feel a problem on the clutch of my car. My Draco was perfect, since the session 1 of test day, on Friday".
