Alex Lloyd wins Man Of The Race for Dijon

British driver Alex Lloyd is the first driver to be awarded the Man Of The Race Award for the second time in a row.

The John Village Automotive driver picked up the award for the first time last weekend for his performance in front of a home crowd in Donington. Lloyd then went on to dominate Round Seven of the SUPERFUND Euro 3000 Championship in Dijon by posting the fastest times in all three practice sessions and topping the timesheets in Qualifying.

The young Brit won the race from pole position with a comfortable ten second lead over John Village Automotive team mate Jonny Reid. This was also the first 1-2 team finish of the season so far.

This afternoon, Lloyd will start from the second row of the grid alongside Bernhard Auinger for Round Eight of the SUPERFUND Euro 3000 Championship in Zolder, Belgium.

Alex Lloyd (GBR), John Village Automotive:

"I feel very honoured to be voted Man Of The Race for the second time. Last time it was more of a consolation prize for my performance in Donington but today, it feels even more significant as I had a perfect race in Dijon and I'm very happy to get recognition for that. To be awarded Man Of The Race twice in a row is very special but to win two races in a row would be even better!"
