Great disappointment at Jerez
A great Pole Position but no points for ADM Motorsport in the 3rd round of the Superfund Euro 3000 at Jerez de la Frontera. Austrian Rookie Norbert Siedler again stole the engine at the start, lost his front wing and had to retire after a collision with Babalus, while team mate Allam Khodair had to finish the race with a cramp in his right arm.
Renato Melchioretto (Team Principal)
"It is quite obvious that we had a competitive car and a superb pilot driving it, but as the English say, your have to finish first before you finish first. On this Iberian rounds Norbert was definitely the quickest driver but now we really have to work on his starts to transform this speed also into wins. Sorry for Allam, who was close to score his first points today but he was suffering from a cramp in his right arm."
"It is just unbelievable! I didn' want to take any risk but it just happened again. I stalled the engine already when I put in the first gear and once more a few seconds later. I have no explanation for that and have to say sorry to Renato and my mechanics. Everybody could see, how quick we were, but who cares about that in a weeks time."
"Due to a cramp cannot move my right arm at the moment and shifting was really a disaster. It is a shame because I was already in the points. Norbert has proved that the team is really competitive but we just need to have more luck."
