THIRD ATLANTIC POLE FOR MI-JACK CONQUEST RACING AND GRAHAM RAHAL
Toronto, Ontario, July 8, 2006 -- For a third time this season Mi-Jack Conquest Racing Atlantic driver, 17-year-old Graham Rahal, will start from the pole position. After securing a front row start yesterday in the first round of qualifying, Rahal once again came out on top in the final round of qualifying today for the Grand Prix of Toronto Atlantic Race. The American's lap time of 1:04.969 was just a few hundredths off the track record (1:04.920) set by AJ Allmendinger in 2003. The driver of the #30 Mi-Jack Conquest Racing entry, Ryan Lewis, had to deal with a "loose" car all session and ended the day with a 14th spot on the starting grid.

""The car felt pretty good all day. I got a good lap on my second or third lap on new tires, but it's kind of a waiting game because I had to keep on lifting off and wait for a gap to be able to put in a clean lap. I know I had a couple of laps that were a tenth of a second faster than my best lap but it's hard to get a good lap when you're chasing people around, but that's how it works for everybody. For the race tomorrow, I just have to be consistent, that's how I won in Cleveland, but I also know that coming here, it will be harder to be consistent with how rough the track is."

"We were doing well in the morning session and managed to put in some good lap times but once qualifying came around we struggled with the balance of the car as there was too much oversteer. We will work on it and come out stronger tomorrow for the race."
The Atlantic race, which will once again use standing starts, gets underway at 10:00 a.m. eastern and will be broadcast on tape delay on Speed July 15 at 3:00 p.m. eastern time.
