Ricci and Lee Complete a Disappointing Provisional Qualifying Session
Giacomo Ricci #18 Banca Italease / Lotto / Global / Mazda-Cosworth
"It definitely wasn't the best day for us," said Ricci. "We hope that tomorrow we can improve the car a lot. Both Matt and I are off of the pace by quite a bit. We did not end with a good position but I have a good engineer and a good crew and I think that we will be able to get a faster time on track tomorrow. I think that Conquest should be in the top five tomorrow for both drivers."
Matt Lee #44 Integrated Solutions / Mazda - Cosworth
"I wasn't able to get as many laps as I would have liked," said Lee. "I was only able to get about three laps on the new tires and wasn't able to get up to speed because of some traffic. The red flags kept slowing down my momentum. The crew did a great job today and I hope to get them a better qualifying finish tomorrow."
Steve Ragan, Conquest Racing Atlantic Team Manager
"We are disappointed with our results today," said Conquest Racing Atlantic Team Manager. "We took some bad directions with the set up and then we had some red flags at the wrong time. We will go back on some changes and we should have a much better day tomorrow with a more grippy track."
