Tim Hauraney to compete in Three rounds of the Toyota Atlantic
T.H. Racing is proud to announce the signing of Enerlog Systems Inc and Spankys Harley Davidson. Enerlog and Spankys Harley Davidson will Partner with Tim Hauraney to compete in the G.I. Joe's presents the Champ Car Grand Prix of Portland, and the Toronto Molson Indy. Piloting the #31 Entry in the Toyota Atlantic Championship C2 series will be Canadian race car driver Tim Hauraney. Tim will be driving with Carlos Bobeda's Condor Motorsports .
"This is just fantastic" explained Hauraney " we have been working hard all year long and for this to happen is just awesome, just goes to show that hard work does pay off."
This will be Enerlog Systems second year sponsoring Hauraney and Steve Chapleau is very excited about the new opportunity.
"We are very ecstatic to be back with Tim Hauraney again. Tim put together another sponsorship opportunity that have us now partnering him in his quest to reach Champ Car. We are happy to be doing the three rounds of the Toyota Atlantic Championship it definitely raises our company's profile by reaching these larger audiences."
The Toyota Atlantic Championship has produced many Canadian champions over the years from the likes of David Empringham, Jacques and Gilles Villeneuve, to Paul Tracy, and Patrick Carpentier.
"There is no question that I am a very lucky boy to be racing in such a high profile series, there are not very many Canadians racing this season due to lack of funding. For me to get this great opportunity is just awesome. I am going to make the most of this and see what comes of it. This will be my first time in an Atlantic car. I have never driven anything that is this fast or has as much down force as the Atlantic car does. It will definitely be a steep learning curve but I am looking forward to the challenge."
Hauraneys first two Atlantic races will be held at the G.I. Joe's presents the Champ Car Grand Prix of Portland on June 17th-19th.
Hauraneys first two races will be aired on SPEED Channel Saturday June 25 at 2:00pm, and 3:00 pm EST.
