MILWAUKEE, Wis. (April 9, 2003) -- Miller Brewing Company announced today that it's Miller Lite brand will be an associate sponsor on Team Rahal's No. 24 Argent Mortgage Toyota Atlantic entry driven by female driving sensation Danica Patrick during the 2003 racing season.

Miller Brewing has been a long time partner with Team Rahal dating back to 1992 when team owner Bobby Rahal drove the Miller Genuine Draft Chevy Lola to the CART point championship under the Rahal/Hogan banner. Miller Brewing continued its involvement with the Hilliard, Ohio-based operation when entertainer David Letterman joined the team as a minority owner in 1996.

In 2003, Miller Lite is a co-primary sponsor on Team Rahal's IRL IndyCar Series entry driven by former IRL champion and 1999 Indy 500 winner Kenny Brack. Miller Lite joins Norwalk Furniture as associate sponsors on the Argent Mortgage Toyota Atlantic car.

"We are very excited to expand our effort with Team Rahal in 2003 and to be associated with a talented young driver as Danica Patrick," said Steve Lauletta, manager of event and sports marketing, Miller Brewing Company. "We have had a great relationship with Bobby and Team Rahal for over a decade. Our partnership with the team and Kenny Brack in the IndyCar Series is very important to our Miller Lite brand. And now to add Danica in the Toyota Atlantic Championship is another strong element to our effort."

Patrick, of Roscoe, Ill., is one of the brightest young stars in open-wheel racing and made her Toyota Atlantic debut last month in Monterrey, Mexico with a third place finish, the highest placing by a female in the 30-year history of the series.

"We have had such a great relationship with Miller Brewing over the past decade and we are thrilled to have their Miller Lite brand come aboard our Toyota Atlantic effort with Danica," said Rahal, the three-time CART champion. "We believe Danica and our new Toyota Atlantic program will be a good marketing tool for Miller Brewing in 2003 and the future. Danica brings a new dimension to the racing arena for Miller Brewing and we are delighted to expand our relationship to include our IndyCar Series program with Kenny and our Atlantic effort with Danica."

Patrick will be competing this weekend (April 13) in the Argent Toyota Atlantic race as part of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. Last year, Patrick won the pro division in the Toyota Pro-Celebrity Race through the streets of Long Beach, Calif.
