PPI Motorsports drivers Andrew Bordin, of Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada and Daniel Wheldon, of Emberton, England will start from the first two grid positions in tomorrow's 35-lap Cart Atlantic race at Exhibition Place in Toronto. Bordin, driving at his home track, set a new lap record on the track altered a few years ago to claim pole position with a time of 1:06.871. Wheldon finished with a time 36/100ths behind his teammate and both drivers expressed confidence for tomorrow's race.

"It was easy to do this," said Bordin. "I was able to do 1 minute 7.2 seconds on my out laps. We have been working hard on our set-up for the race." This is Bordin's third visit to the track on which he is yet to win, and he is still looking for his first win of the year, while sitting third in the championship.

His teammate, who is second in the championship, is visiting the Toronto track for the first time. "It is tough to come to a track like this," said Wheldon. "We do very little testing, and none here in Toronto. It's a fantastic track, and tomorrow we will give them a run for their money." Wheldon has three pole positions this year but only one victory.

When asked on the threat of a first corner incident, which could be disastrous if the two teammates went out, they both laughed. "With Bordin at the front anything could happen," said Wheldon smiling.

"We'll organize it," added Bordin. "Danny is a fast driver and we'll leave everybody behind if we work as a team."
