Burke Lakefront Airport - Cleveland, OH - The race at Cleveland had on of the best finishes in a long time even though the race was ran in the rain. Hoover Orsi and Joey Hand were fighting each other all the way around the circuit under the white flag side by side. Orsi held the lead down the front stretch and won the race only .949 seconds ahead of the rookie Hand. In third place was T.J. Bell. Rounding out the top five was Charles Hall and Rocky Moran, Jr. respectively. The points leader David Rutledge finished in sixth place. Hall, Moran and Rutledge were involved in a battle for most of the last laps.
The race was red flagged in the middle due to the conditions. When the weather let up the race was restarted with the plan for it to be finished by the clock instead of laps. During the restart Hand spun at turn one.
Hand about his spin on the restart: "That was planned, I did it for TV," jokes Hand. "I stood on it and I knew it was going around and I got of the gas and I managed to save it. I'm really proud to be with this team. It's the best race I've had in a long time, probably since go-karts." Joey Hand is now leading the rookie points and has moved into fifth overall in the points battle.
Orsi: "It was really tough conditions; fortunately I had a good car for all of the race. The last lap was enjoyable… running side to side like that."
