NAZARETH, PA (May 6, 2001) Hoover Orsi takes his U.S.Print # 9 car to another second place finish and becomes the points leader in the CART Toyota-Atlantic Championship series. U.S. Print had a great race today, said Orsi. "My car was handling really well- but Tony (Ave) was faster and he didn't make any mistakes, which didn't give me a real opportunity to pass him". "My team did a great job putting me in a fast car and I am very happy to take the points lead for the Championship". I want to congratulate Tony Ave on a terrific race today."

The sky was finally clear for the 65 Lap Race at the Leigh Valley Grand Prix, as Qualifying had been rained out on Saturday. There were 2 cautions during the race, the first involved Martin Basso of Michael Shank Racing and the second caution on lap 19, involving 3 cars Grant Ryley, TJ Bell, and Guy Cosmo, but fortunately there were no injuries sustained. Veteran driver, Tony Ave of P-1 Racing (105.619 mph) took the checked flag with Brazilian, Hoover Orsi of Hylton Motorsports, following for a close second place finish (105.592 mph). Rodolfo Lavin of Michael Shank Racing set the fastest lap on Lap 61 with a time of 147.697 mph.
