MI-JACK CONQUEST RACING'S GRAHAM RAHAL TO START THIRD IN MONTREAL; RYAN LEWIS WILL START 23rd
Montreal, Quebec, August 26, 2006 -- With Team Australia's Simon Pagenaud securing a front row starting position by capturing the provisional pole yesterday, Graham Rahal will have to start tomorrow's Champ Car Grand Prix of Montreal from the third position despite recording the second fastest time of today's final round of qualifying behind James Hinchcliffe. Rahal registered a lap time of 1:32.269, less than a tenth of a second off the pole position. Ryan Lewis, Rahal's teammate at Conquest Racing who has three podiums so far this season will have to battle his way up the field as he will start in 23rd position. Lewis caused major damage to the #30 Insport Sports Management car when he hit the wall in the morning practice session. The crew tried as hard as they could to get the car ready for qualifying but there were too many repairs to be done and Ryan had to miss out on the final round of qualifying. The penultimate round of the Champ Car Atlantic Series will get underway at 11:00 a.m. eastern.

"In Denver we had down-shifting issues and the first lap today, I couldn't downshift. So I came in and we tried to figure it out, but we couldn't. We were still second in the session, but I had to be really careful. Every corner is a challenge because you can't brake as late and downshift, it makes it pretty tricky. I think we have a good race set-up and we're still up front. After Denver when we came back to the shop, we tried to find where the shifting problem was coming from but we couldn't find anything. There's obviously something wrong, we just haven't found it yet. We've got our work cut out for us and hopefully we can find it before tomorrow."
23rd -- Ryan Lewis #30 Insport Sports Management
"I'm really sorry for the team, I have been making them work long hours more than once this season. I just hope I can make my way through the field and that I can make it up to them tomorrow."
