MJ Motorsports takes delivery of new Swift 016a Atlantic Chassis

March 10, 2005. Gardena, California. MJ Motorsports preparations for the 2006 season begin in ernest today as the team has taken delivery of their Swift Engineering 016.a Champ Car Atlantic chassis at their factory in Gardena, California, this afternoon.

"It feels a little bit like Christmas when you see a big package under the tree with your name on it," Team Principal Michael James commented. "This is something we've been looking forward to for several months and the excitement level has been building since the factory unveiling and test of this new chassis, so it feels good to have our new car in our shop and start to get down to business preparing the car for the season."

The first order of business for the team will be to document all the items received and then assemble the chassis ahead of the first official test session for the 2006 Champ Car Atlantic Series powered by Mazda to be held at California Speedway on Monday, March 20th. "We have a lot of work ahead of us before the first race at Long Beach in April, but it feels good to get the process rolling," James said. "We are looking forward to several more exciting announcements in the near future regarding our driver lineup for the season."
