Hunter-Reay takes the pole with a new track record in Milwaukee

Ryan Hunter-Reay won the provisional pole position at his second Atlantic race in Long Beach.

He bettered that result today by capturing the pole position at the Milwaukee Mile in his first Atlantic event on an oval. Hunter-Reay has dominated the weekend at Milwaukee, contested only by his teammate Roger Yasukawa who qualified a close second to complete the Hylton Motorsports front row for the first time in Atlantic history. Hunter-Reay broke the track record on his warm up lap in qualifying and set the pole time on his first green lap.

Hunter-Reay on qualifying:
"This is a great result for us. I have to thank the Hylton team and my engineer, Kyle (Brannan) for a great car and setup. Everything was perfect, I was able to use my tools in the car and we put together an excellent lap. Thanks to Briggs & Stratton for their support over the years and the support this year in Wisconsin. Also thanks for the continued support from Medlock Ames Winery. I am keeping my fingers crossed the weather will hold out tomorrow because I am really looking forward to the race. Nothing would be better then to give my team a repeat victory here."
