SANTA BARBARA, CALIF. (April 4, 2003) -- Pacific Coast Motorsports has announced it will be making a pre-event school visit prior to the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Tuesday, April 8, CART Toyota Atlantic driver Alex Figge, of Santa Barbara, Calif., will visit Meadows Elementary in Manhattan Beach, Calif. Figge and the Pacific Coast Motorsports team will display the No. 69 Pacific Coast Motorsports/Patrick Racing Toyota Swift 0.14a and team trailer, as well as answer questions about racing and sign autographs. In addition to the presentation, the grade 1 to 5 students will receive various souvenirs from the California-based team and the CART Toyota Atlantic Championship. The school visit is scheduled to commence at 3:30 p.m. (PT).

Pacific Coast Motorsports is a newly formed team focused on winning. Based in Santa Barbara, Calif., the team features a vast amount of Atlantic Championship experience. At the season-opening round in Monterrey, Mexico, Figge finished sixth, tying his best career finish.

"I'm looking forward to meeting all the kids," said Figge. "I think it will be a lot of fun and hopefully a few of them will be cheering for me on Sunday."

Round Two of the CART Toyota Atlantic Championship takes place at Long Beach, Calif., April 13, 2003.
