A new Southern California team, Hylton Motorsports, with Brazilian driver Hoover Orsi will competes in their first first local race in this Sunday's CART Toyota Atlantic race at Long Beach. Orsi finished second in last year's Atlantic championship.
Orsi On The Track:
Long Beach is a great track. It is quite fast for a street circuit and we have a lot of spectators watching the race, which is really nice. Most of the corners are slow but there are a few quick ones as well...and two really long straights...a good place to overtake. I think one of the most important corners, is the last corner before the pit straight....I am using the low gear in the hairpin, and there are lots of bumps in the exit...what makes this difficult, is you must have good exit corner speed before the straight...if not, the other cars overtake you on the long strait...I can not wait for the first practice, to see how we're going to do...I feel very confident...
Orsi On The Race:
I'm looking forward to this first race... All of the team members have worked really hard during the pre season testing to put the car in good shape for Long Beach. I'm happy with the way the car is handling and I feel really confident that we will see great results. The performance changes during the last few months are incredible. The team is definitely a contender for the championship. I have been working hard as well ensuring I am a 100% fit for the 1st race and season. The last 3 months have been excellent for my mind and body. I have trained hard almost every day...and I'm better prepared than ever... I must thank my sponsor u.s.print for continuing their efforts after last season and developing a first class organization over the last few months. I will do all I can to bring u.s. print the championship this season and look forward to seeing them at the track this week. As the only Brazilian driver in our series I am hoping to win another championship for my country.
About the Move to Southern California: It is the nicest environment I have ever lived in....Our new races offices are quite nice located in Newport Beach/Irvine, California and the weather is just wonderful. I also like the people very much, they are friendly.
