INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Keith Duesenberg, President, Duesenberg Brothers Racing, announced his racing team, with its famous name, will compete in the 2001 Toyota Atlantic season.

"We are very delighted to be joining the Toyota Atlantic series," said Duesenberg. "The Toyota Atlantic championship has a splendid history and we are proud to bring our Western Union Speed Team to its venues," said Duesenberg.

The Duesenberg Brothers Racing/Western Union Speed Team has purchased two Swift race cars to vie for the championship crown. The team will test several drivers before the number one driver is announced.

Dave McMillan, a long time Toyota Atlantic competitor and team manager, will oversee the Duesenberg Brothers Racing/Western Union Speed Team operation. McMillan engineered the Ralt F3/2000 entry of Stuart Crow which captured the 2000 United States Formula Three Championship crown.

Last season, the Duesenberg Brothers Racing/Western Union Speed Team also participated in the United States Formula Three Championship. Adam Andretti won the inaugural race and finished third overall in the USF3 championship driving the Duesenberg Brothers Racing/Western Union Speed Team Dallara F300.

The Duesenberg Brothers Racing/Western Union Speed Team will make its first appearance at the Long Beach Grand Prix, April 6-7-8, 2001.
