Lynx Racing driver David Rutledge, a native of Vancouver B.C., will be a guest this Sunday evening on the popular TSN sports talk show "Last Call" With David Pratt. The show will air on Sunday, February 6, at 9:00 p.m. (PST) and will re-air at midnight. Other guests on the show will include track star Debbie Brill, the first woman to high-jump over 6-ft., and Bob Marjanovich, columnist for SportsVue. "I'm a big fan of 'Last Call,' and being on as a guest is one more indication that my career is headed in the right direction," says Rutledge. "It will be a real pleasure to have time to discuss things in depth rather than just the 15-second 'sound bite' we typically get on a race weekend." Rutledge drives for Lynx Racing in the CART Toyota Atlantic series, the triple-A league for the CART FedEX champ car series. Lynx Racing, now in its tenth year of operation, is the only championship-winning racing team/driver development program owned by women - Peggy Haas and Jackie Doty. The team's mission is to seek out young drivers with championship potential and provide them with the funding, equipment and training to make the jump to the sport's 'major leagues.' Lynx Racing alumni include CART FedEx drivers Patrick Carpentier, Alex Barron and Memo Gidley. Gidley and Mike Conte (Rutledge's teammate for the 2000 CART Toyota Atlantic series), will be competing in the Rolex 24 at Daytona this weekend. Rutledge has just completed two weeks of extensive testing in his Lynx Racing Swift 008.a Atlantic car and will be spending a well-earned week's vacation at his home in Vancouver. The Atlantic season opens at the Miami-Homestead track on March 25. TSN, Canada's leading sports broadcaster, airs Last Call immediately following TSN's Sports Desk. The show attracts more than 100,000 regular viewers and features a cross-section of guests, including athletes and coaches, managers and trainers, journalists and politicians.
