After making an excellent start, jumping from 5th to 3rd into Turn 1, Aaron Justus dug into his best weekend of the season. Justus' strongest challenger was his equally competitive teammate A.J. Allmendinger, who dueled with his RuSPORT counterpart for 11laps to eventually move into the number one spot. Justus stayed close behind until a racing incident with Jonathan Macri on Lap 12 ended his strong weekend early. Allmendinger went on to secure 1st place after settling into a smooth pace to the checkered flag, garnering the 3rd victory of the season for the RuSPORT team.

"The result here in Cleveland is not ultimately what we wanted, but we're very pleased with the performance of the team and my performance over the weekend. We made the right decisions and we were fast in every session each day. We're more competitive than we've been all year. The first lap of the race was very good; the car was very fast and ready for racing. The incident early on in the race definitely doesn't put a dark cloud on the overall weekend. So I'm looking forward to racing next weekend."

"It was a great race and a lot of fun. I didn't have a great start, falling back to second and then with my teammate Aaron getting a great start and getting around me down the back straight-away. But after the first two laps and when my tires came around, my car was just excellent. Then it was just a matter of pacing myself. The key for me was just getting around Michael (Valiante) clean, and then securing the move. Michael and I had a great battle for the lead and it was great racing- clean, and just fun. Overall, the team had a great weekend."

"It's a bittersweet weekend for us. We're obviously thrilled that A.J. won the race, but we really feel like this was a weekend when the team could have been first and second and certainly either one of these guys could have won the race, no question about it. Aaron had a great weekend and his result is just not indicative of what he was capable of, so we're definitely looking forward to next weekend in Toronto."
Carl Russo , Team Owner
"Our best weekend yet if you measure it not by results, but by the competitiveness of the team throughout the weekend. Both A.J. and Aaron were up on the wheel, going fast, and I think we saw that early in the race. Both guys were running up front-having a great race. The new rule with CART on having no blocking moves on the racetrack, coupled with the tightness of this paddock, enabled the fans to see a great race for the first 15 laps. It was an unfortunate incident, obviously, with Jonathan (Macri) and Aaron, but A.J. brought home a win and we move onto Toronto."
