Round Six of the 2003 Barber Dodge Pro Series, held at the Burke Lakefront Airport Course, began with a practice session Thursday morning. This was Frisselle's first experience at this track, which he found to be more challenging and technical than he had anticipated. "I was pleased with my top ten finish in today's short session," the young rookie stated. "However, I definitely feel that we have lot of room for improvement on what is a surprisingly challenging track."

After a brief morning practice, Frisselle executed a strong performance in Thursday afternoon's qualifying session, finishing in P8. The young rookie from Hawaii stated that "he used the session to continue to learn the track and improve upon his car set-up car rather than focus on executing his fastest lap times." Frisselle added, "I am optimistic for tomorrow's second qualifying session, as I feel that I now have a solid grasp on the track and where I want my car to be."

Frisselle came out strong in the second qualifying session, finishing in a respectable P5. The talented young rookie stated that he "felt more confident and comfortable both with the challenging track and his car set- up," which enabled him to focus on pushing for those fast laps. "I am very pleased with my P5 starting position for tomorrow's race," Frisselle commented, "and I feel confident that I will be able to navigate the extremely challenging first corner of this track in what is a highly competitive field."

Frisselle drove exceptionally well in Saturday's race. The young rookie from Hawaii drove with confidence and intelligence, enabling him to survive the chaotic first corner of the race. Although he lost a position to Luis Pelayo in the first lap, falling back to P6, Frisselle was able to come back and challenge for P5. The young rookie from Hawaii engaged in an intense battle with Pelayo, nearly claiming a P5 finish. "I had a strong race today and was able to consistently run the third quickest lap time," Frisselle stated. "I also had a great battle with Luis, but unfortunately in our racing we lost a great deal of time to the cars running in P2 through P4. Overall, I am very pleased with my performance and P6 finish today at what is a very challenging track and in a highly competitive and talented field."
