FORSYTHE ATLANTIC TEAM JOINED BY LAYER 7 TECHNOLOGIES AT THE CHAMP CAR GRAND PRIX OF CLEVELAND PRESENTED BY US BANK
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- June 23, 2006 --Vancouver based North American IT company Layer 7 Technologies joins Forsythe Championship Racing's Atlantic Team as the Primary partner on Leo Maia's #7 entry and as an Associate partner on Forsythe's #37 and #33 entries driven by Andreas Wirth and Richard Philippe.
Layer 7 CEO Ed Koepfler is a long time follower and supporter of Champ Car and Forsythe Racing, "Champ Car is recognized as North America's most highly technical and all-round most challenging and competitive motor racing environment; testing its drivers, equipment and team personnel to the limits week in and week out. I'm excited to introduce Layer 7 Technologies to this most demanding and technical sport, and particularly through Forsythe's successful Atlantic racing programme which will allow Layer 7 Technologies to explore and develop potential technology synergies with the Team and the Series, and to cultivate business opportunities within the Champ Car community of business partners."
Team owner Jerry Forsythe welcomed the new partnership, "After years following our racing programs, I'm delighted to now be formally welcoming Ed Koepfler and Layer 7 Technologies to Forsythe Racing and the Atlantic Championship. It is always gratifying to see new partners join Champ Car, and I strongly believe that through this relationship we can provide a unique and exciting environment for Layer 7 through which they can positively develop their business relationships in Canada and across the United States."
Forsythe Atlantic Team Manager John Brunner, "I'm thrilled to be expanding our Team's relationship with such an award winning IT innovator - Layer 7 Technologies. We are enjoying new technological and operational benefits from show casing high-tech applications provided through our relationship with Emexis (sponsor of James Hinchcliffe's #3 race car), and I'm confident that as well as providing a great business relationship building platform for Layer 7, that this relationship will be a catalyst to more exciting and mutually beneficial technical opportunities."
