Formula Dodge National Championship driver Brian Cole completed a successful test with the Active Motorsports CART Toyota Atlantic Series team at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio recently. Active Motorsports’ other driver is former Barber Dodge Pro Series standout Will Langhorne.

Team principles were impressed with the speed and maturity of the 25-year old Virginian who turned in consistently quick laps on his first acquaintance with an Atlantic car. Cole himself was equally impressed with his first experience as well as with the team as a whole.

"The Atlantic is such a great car to drive," said Cole. "I really have to thank everyone at Active Motorsports for the opportunity, and I'm definitely looking forward to testing with them again.”

Active Motorsports is in fact already planning a second test with Cole in the near future. “Our goal is to test with Brian later in the season, in the hope of developing him as a future Atlantic driver," said Daniel Incandela, Active Motorsports team manager.

For now Cole’s focus will be on the upcoming third and fourth round of the Formula Dodge National Championship Presented by RACER on June 2-4 at Loudon, New Hampshire. At the first two rounds in Grattan, Mich., Cole scored an 11th and 6th-place finish, and looks forward to improving on that performance this weekend.
