Montreal, June 12th 2000 - Canal Indigo and Viewer's Choice will air three Formula Atlantic racing events in 3-D, starting July 15th with the Toronto Molson Indy. The other two races will be the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (July 30th) and the Grand Prix of Monterey (September 9th).

These races will be presented in 3-D, with the help of a new, never before used technology. Forget the traditional paper glasses...Viewers will have the chance to acquire special high-quality 3-D glasses and decoder in participating electronics stores (59.95$). The races will be 29.95$ each.

To offer viewers the best 3-D equipment available in North America, Astral Television Networks and partner De Sigi Autosport have teamed up with C3D from Los Angeles. C3D uses state of the art BST cameras with bifocal lenses.

Two cameras will be located in the Hylton Motorsport Swift vehicles, driven by the De Sigi Autosport team. These cameras will capture the difficulties of the raceways as well as the driver's reactions. Other cameras will capture the images in the pits and will be placed in strategic spots along the raceway. The viewer will get a great look at racing from the driver's point of view.
