OAK Racing (2013 Le Mans 24 Hours LMP2 winning team) and their #24 Morgan had both the quickest time and highest speed amongst the LMP2s in both testing sessions.
Today all teams gathered for the first time to prepare their cars and take part in Official Testing for the first race of the inaugural Asian Le Mans Series at Inje Speedium, South Korea – 3 Hours of Inje
The brand new circuit looked fantastic as the teams navigated their way around the technical 4.2km track, checking both the cars and track for the first time and making any necessary adjustments.
The weather was kind to everyone with a dry and clear day, providing favourable conditions for the teams’ first outings. The pits were buzzing with activity all day as teams get ready to start their campaigns to become the champions of Le Mans racing in Asia.
OAK Racing (2013 Le Mans 24 Hours LMP2 winning team) and their #24 Morgan had both the quickest time and highest speed amongst the LMP2s in both testing sessions - with a quickest lap time of 1:29.036 and top speed of 170.14 km/h.
AF Corse (2013 Le Mans 24 Hours GTE-Am double podium team) racing their #77 Ferrari 458 GT3 were also able to achieve the double double of having both the quickest lap time and highest speed, amongst the GT cars, in both testing sessions – with a quickest lap time of 1:33.419 and top speed of 169.05 km/h.
Tomorrow’s two Free Practice sessions will give all the teams another opportunity to warm up the cars and drivers before Qualifying on Saturday.
