With ARCA Kansas win, Brenden Queen has one simple task left to secure 2025 title

Brenden 'Butterbean' Queen held on through double overtime to win Friday night's ARCA Menards Series race at Kansas Speedway. Gio Ruggiero finished second, Leland Honeyman third, Kris Wright fourth, and Taylor Reimer in fifth.

“What a rookie campaign,” said Queen after capturing the checkered flag. “One more race left -- maybe we can get nine (race wins), but I think we’re closing in on what the main prize is.”

It's been an incredible rookie campaign for Queen, winning eight of 19 races run so far with 16 top fives. He leaves this race with an 85-point advantage over Lavar Scott, and all the 27-year-old has to do to secure the crown is start next week's season finale at Toledo. 

Queen currently holds an impressive average finish of 4.9 this season, and securing the title will be a major accomplishment as he looks to make the next step in his stock car racing career. Six of the last seven ARCA champions (excluding Bret Holmes) currently compete full-time in one of the three national divisions of the sport.

He recently made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut with Kaulig Racing as well, finishing 20th at Bristol. He will be back behind the wheel of the No. 11 this weekend at Kansas, following his ARCA triumph at the same track.

Queen also has a handful of starts in the NASCAR Truck Series between 2024 and 2025, placing as high as fourth at North Wilkesboro in his debut race.
