NOTES OF INTEREST: The Winchester ARCA RE/MAX 200 marks the 17th appearance of the ARCA RE/MAX Series at Winchester since the series first raced on the renowned, legendary high-banked oval in 1964. The upcoming ARCA RE/MAX 200 from Winchester Speedway, live on SPEED Channel, kicks off a grueling late-season charge featuring three races back-to-back-to-back. Following the Winchester short-track war under the lights Saturday night (Aug 31), the series will hustle off to the DuQuoin dirt-mile in Southern Illinois for the Federated Auto Parts 100 on Monday (Sept 2) for a noon eastern start-time. From there, the ARCA RE/MAX Series will immediately steer north for the 1.5-mile Chicagoland Speedway where Old Milwaukee Pole Award Qualifying is scheduled for Thursday afternoon in preparation for Saturday's (Sept 7) ReadyHosting.com 200. All 3 events will be LIVE on SPEED Channel. Currently, drivers from 11 states are entered at Winchester including female drivers Christi Passmore (Pryor OK) and Karla Lampe (Carroll IA). Of the drivers entered, only 3-time RE/MAX Series champion and current point leader Frank Kimmel is a former RE/MAX Series winner at Winchester. Seven of the 16 RE/MAX Series races at Winchester have been won from the pole. Young guns/favorites Chad Blount (22) and Shelby Howard (17) lead the Hoosier charge into Winchester. Both Blount (Walkerton IN) and Howard (Greenwood IN) cut their teeth, in part, on the Winchester oval. Kimmel (Jeffersonville), Matt Hagans (Brownsburg), Darrell Basham (Henryville), Greg Van Alst (Anderson), Tim Fulford (Solsberry) and Scotty Sands (Henryville) complete the list of Indiana drivers entered.
