TOLEDO OH (10-14-07)--ARCA RE/MAX Series rookie Michael McDowell, in the No. 2 Lotame-Make A Wish Beck Dodge, earned his ninth SIM Factory Pole Award of 2007 Saturday afternoon at Toledo Speedway, circling the .5-mile track in 16.469 seconds for a speed of 109.296 mph. He starts on the pole alongside Eddie Sharp Racing teammate Ken Butler III for Sunday's Hantz Group 200 presented by Belle Tire. The race marks the 23rd and final event on the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule and will roll off LIVE on SPEED beginning at 2 p.m. Eastern.

"We sat on the pole at Toledo when we raced here in May," said McDowell. "Every time you sit on the pole it is a big deal, but today means a little bit more, knowing that it is my last ARCA RE/MAX Series race. It's been a great season and I have to thank all the guys with Eddie Sharp Racing. They've made this Lotame-Make A Wish-Beck Dodge fast all year long."

McDowell, at 22-years-old, spent much of the 2007 season battling for the ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship but fell short of the title to Frank Kimmel, the defending series champion. Kimmel will earn an unprecedented ninth title on Sunday as part of ARCA's Championship Weekend festivities. He starts seventh in Sunday's Hantz Group 200 presented by Belle Tire.

Plano, Texas' James Buescher starts third in the No. 32 Mercedes Homes-Red Line Oil Dodge alongside Springfield, Illinois' Justin Allgaier in the No. 16 AG Tech-Schluckebier Farms Chevrolet. The 35-car starting field will roll off the grid on Sunday, October 14th at 2 p.m. Eastern. The race is LIVE on SPEED. Tickets are available.
