RAB RACING TEAMS UP WITH CROCS TO SUPPORT A CURE FOR BREAST CANCER AT TALLADEGA
CONCORD, NC (10-1-07) RAB Racing announced today that they will be teaming up with Crocs to promote The Breast Cancer Research Foundation at Talladega Superspeedway for the ARCA RE/MAX 250 Friday, October 5th. The #65 Dodge Charger driven by Justin Marks, will be adorned in pink and white in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
"We've run a few different schemes this year for Crocs and it has been a lot of fun promoting the Crocs Racing brand in ARCA," Justin Marks said. "We've been eyeing Talladega all season long as a special race to do something with Crocs that will be memorable and popular with the fans and I think a bright pink car will do just that."
Along with proudly displaying the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's logo on the #65 Dodge Charger, Crocs is also donating $10,000 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
"Breast cancer is something that has affected a lot of lives across the world and right here in the ARCA RE/MAX Series as well. Being able to play just a tiny part of such a monumental effort to find a cure is meaningful and something everyone on the RAB Racing team can be proud of. Crocs has made their commitment to a number of great causes including the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. It's an honor and a privilege for our racing team to be included in their efforts and be given the opportunity to put breast cancer awareness in front of ARCA fans."
Coming off six top-tens in a row, Marks looks to bring this positive momentum to Talladega and put the Crocs Breast Cancer Research Foundation Dodge Charger up front.
"I really want this race to go well for us. It's a huge opportunity to give back to Crocs what they have allowed us to do this year. This year's race represents what is probably going to be the toughest field ever produced for an ARCA race and being able to run up front and contend for the win will be something RAB Racing, Crocs and Construct Corps can hang their hat on. Obviously the nature of these restrictor plate races includes a huge variable and that's getting caught up in the wrecks. Hopefully we can get a little lucky and bring something home to be proud of."
Along with the desire to win, Marks has his eye set on another prestigious trophy awarded in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, the Bill France Triple Crown Award. The Bill France Triple Crown is a separate title based on performance at three very diverse tracks: a short track, a dirt track and a superspeedway. Talladega Superspeedway is the final race in determining the champion and Marks currently sits second, just 45 points behind leader Frank Kimmel.
"Obviously it would be a huge honor to win the Bill France Triple Crown. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the people that gave birth to the sport that I love and being honored with an award bearing the name of the sport's founder would be a highlight in my racing career. We are in a great position to do that and it would really be fantastic."
