ST2 Motorsports Ready To Roar In Nashville

Lebanon, Tennessee - - It may be their first race of the season but the ST2 Motorsports team is heading into the second event of the 2005 ARCA RE/MAX Series season looking like pros. Based in the heart of "Music City", Nashville Tennessee -- ST2 Motorsports is preparing to take their two cars to the front and capture one of the most sought out trophies on the circuit, the "Gibson Guitar."

With two rookies behind the wheel, some may think their chances are slim, but based on their results in last week's open test from Nashville Superspeedway rookies Chevy White and Clay Greenfield could be machines to beat this Saturday afternoon.

White, returning to the ARCA RE/MAX Series in 2005 will pilot the No. 43 PFG Lester/Beast Energy Drink Dodge Intrepid, while Greenfield looks to make his second career RE/MAX Series start at the controls of the No. 40 Beach Oil-Legends Bank Dodge Intrepid.

It's been a good week for Chevy White so far. Earlier this week, Tennessee-based Performance Beverages, Inc. (PBI), the exclusive distributor of The BEAST Energy Drink, announced its foray into motorsport sponsorships with a 10-race ARCA RE/MAX Series agreement with ST2 Motorsports of Lebanon, Tennessee.

As part of the sponsorship, The BEAST will receive a variety of marketing, promotional and product tasting opportunities while drafting behind the success of rookie driver Chevy White, from Columbia, Tennessee. White will pilot ST2 Motorsports' #43 Dodge in a minimum of 10 ARCA RE/MAX Series events this season.

The sponsorship is the tale of newcomers to respective industries: The BEAST entered the United States' billion-dollar non-alcoholic energy drink industry less than one year ago. ARCA RE/MAX Series drivers are considered the NASCARstars of tomorrow.

The 10-race schedule will feature companion events with the NASCAR Nextel Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck Series, as well as one with the IRL at some of racings most famed tracks including Nashville (TN) Superspeedway, Kentucky Speedway (in Sparta), Michigan International Speedway (in Brooklyn), Kansas Speedway (in Kansas City) Gateway International Raceway (in Madison, Ill.), Chicagoland Speedway, and Talladega Superspeedway. Additional races will be added throughout the season.

For Nashville star, Chevy White, NSS (Nashville Superspeedway) once again allows this rising star a chance to shine. In his first ever start last year, White rocketed from his 16th place starting position to collect an eighth place finish.

"I'm really looking forward to going back to Nashville," explained ST2 Motorsports primary driver Chevy White. "Our team has improved from last season and we are looking forward to hopefully propelling this growing team into victory circle. We had some success in the ARCA series last year, but it would be something I would never forget if we landed a win right here in Nashville."

Clay Greenfield, who will run a partial schedule with ST2 Motorsports this season is also very pumped about the upcoming festivities. "This is going to be a great weekend. Our test went well. We worked hard on getting the car right. I have a great crew for the upcoming weekend, I just look to be smooth and smart and hope to be battling with Chevy in the end for the win."

Just like White, Greenfield is looking forward to giving his new sponsors Beach Oil and Legends Bank some heavy exposure.

Beach Oil Company sells fuel and lubricant products to trucking companies all throughout Tennessee. The company also has 14 BP gas and food center convenience stores in the Clarksville, Tennessee area.

Legends Bank is rated one of middle Tennessee's finest financial institutions with multiple locations in the middle Tennessee area, Legends Bank offers only the very best to their residences.

"Sponsorship is so important to me," added Greenfield. "I am very fortunate and lucky to have Beach Oil Company and Legends Bank on board for Nashville. I know I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them, and the best way I can make it up to them is to give them a good run on Saturday.

The PFG Lester 150 is the second of 23 events on the 2005 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. Practice begins Friday, March 25th with an extensive morning session planned. Qualifying is also on tap for Friday afternoon with the race set to take the green flag Saturday March 26th, 2005. The Speed Channel will air the event live from beginning at 1:30pm EST.
