Todd Bowsher gave the GFS Marketplace ...
Todd Bowsher gave the GFS Marketplace #21 a strong 5th place starting spot for the ARCA ReMax Series race at South Boston Speedway on Saturday, a career best qualifying effort.
Bowsher was confident after Pork Pole Qualifying saying, " We've got a good car for this race, the top 7 qualifiers were all close on times, once the race starts we'll be right there with the lead pack."
The GFS Marketplace Team had the car primed for battle with the leaders. Todd Bowsher, relentless at the wheel charged hard with the leaders from the green flag. However, with less than 25% of the laps completed, while working through lapped traffic, the GFS Marketplace Ford Taurus began to overheat, with water spewing the team worked diligently but to no avail, to add insult to injury Bowsher was once again caught up in someone else's wreck at South Boston Speedway, the #5 of Bobby Gerhart spun in the center of turns 3 & 4, in front of the GFS Marketplace Ford and Bowsher was left with nowhere to turn and hit the spinning car of Gerhart, Bowsher ended up with a 26th place finishing position. Having a well performing car and being taken out of contention early, Bowsher received the Landrum Spring Hard Luck Honors.
The Jack Bowsher & Associates Motorsports Team will be at Berlin Raceway in Marne Michigan on Saturday July 3 for the GFS Marketplace 200, with the green flag scheduled at 8:30pm.
