Messina Wildlife Management to Sponsor June 5th ARCA Race at Pocono
Long Pond, PA (April 2, 2010) - Officials from the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) and Pocono Raceway announced today that the New Jersey-based firm, Messina Wildlife Management, will be the title sponsor of the June 5th ARCA Racing Series event at Pocono Raceway.
Messina Wildlife Management's "Animal Stopper 200" will be the opening stock car race event of Pocono Raceway's 2010 season and will mark ARCA's 50th event at the 2.5 mile triangle shaped track located in the Pocono Mountains.
"The marketing programs associated with ARCA make this terrific branding and product exposure opportunity for us," commented James Messina, Vice President of the Washington, NJ firm. "With a broad selection of our Animal Stopper products now available nationwide at garden centers including Menards, our customers will be the big winners as they can find the products they need to stop animal damage more easily than ever."
The race sponsorship is part of a comprehensive marketing program that includes an official company sponsorship with ARCA, and a Special Award Sponsorship, "The Messina Half-Way Leader Challenge". Teams leading events at the advertised half-way point will earn a $500 cash bonus, provided they display the Messina logo on their cars and uniforms. The program also includes opportunities for guests and customers to attend the race event.
ARCA President Ron Drager thinks that this sponsorship, at the scenic and park-like setting of Pocono Raceway, is a natural environment for Messina's animal stopper products.
"Pocono Raceway is the perfect venue for Messina to sponsor a race," Drager stated. "Located in the rural Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania, wildlife abounds in the area and Messina products are the ideal wildlife management tools for rural America."
"Pocono Raceway is proud to welcome Messina Wildlife Management, based in neighboring New Jersey, as sponsor of our June ARCA 200," stated Raceway President Brandon Igdalsky. "Their involvement in the race will bring a lot of local excitement to the event. We are excited to partner with such a creative product that is effective and also safe for the environment."
