Nashville Recap: ARS (ARCA RE/MAX Series) rookie Nick Tucker made his Nashville Superspeedway debut earlier this month. After losing his primary motor in the first practice session, the Carter-2-Motorsports team thrashed putting in the backup motor and qualifying 39th. Tucker persevered during the event logging laps to score a 30th place finish.
Inaugural Event: Tucker, an employee for Evernham Motorsports will attempt to make his ARCA RE/MAX Series Salem Speedway debut on Sunday. The team is bringing the same Dodge Charger that Tucker roared to a 15th place finish in his ARS debut at USA International Speedway in March.
07 Schedule: Tucker, a former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) driver is scheduled to run a limited schedule for Roger Carter's Carter-2-Motorsports this season. Tucker will run an unannounced number of short tracks and superspeedways races this season.
Support The Team: FreeFeds.org will continue their primary sponsor of Carter II's Dodge Charger at USA International Speedway. A new sponsor to the ARCA RE/MAX Series this season, FreeFeds.org intent is simple. FreeFeds.org's sole purpose is to gain public support for adding parole for non-violent, non repeat offenders to the federal prison system. They are of the belief that the federal justice system is in need of a total reform. The organization, however, is mainly interested in working toward adding a system of parole for non-violent offenders as part of that overall reform.
Good Ole' Hylton: Car owner James Hylton will assist Carter-2-Motorsports and driver Nick Tucker this weekend at Salem Speedway. Hylton, a legendary name in NASCAR and ARCA will provide his wealth of knowledge hoping to secure C2M (Carter-2-Motorsports) their first career top-10 finish on Sunday.
Congratulations Slim: Carter-2-Motorsports and driver Nick Tucker would like to congratulate crew member Jonathan "Slim" Sykes who has received a promotion to car chief for this weekend's Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA 200 by Federated Auto Parts. Sykes has shown loyalty and dedication in the first three races of the season and his endless efforts have inspired the promotion to take place.
Carter-2-Motorsports, Salem Speedway Pre-Race Quotes:
Nick Tucker, driver of the No. 48 FreeFeds.org Dodge Charger:
On Nashville: "I am so proud of my team again. We overcame the odds in practice and battled back in qualifying and made the show. We didn't have a winning car but we had a car capable of logging laps and learning about Nashville Superspeedway to help us with the summer event."
On Salem Speedway: "It's going to be a fun race. We're taking our best short track car to the event and I think we can top our performance from Lakeland (USA International Speedway). Good solid practice time will be crucial for us once we get past practice, we should be good to go."
On His Team: "What do you say about this team? Roger Carter II has put together a tough dedicated bunch and I'm the lucky guy that gets to drive. I'm looking forward to working with all of them this weekend, if we stay out of the mess; I think we'll reel in a good finish."
On Points: "We're 32nd in car owner points and we're trying to put our No. 48 as high in the standings as we can before we roll over to current points at Winchester. Owner points are crucial all season long so another good run could help us in that department."
