Salem, Indiana (April 5, 2009) -- After a six-week hiatus, the whole Eddie Sharp Racing gang came out strong Saturday afternoon for qualifying at the .555 oval mile at the Salem Speedway. The team fielding four cars dominated practice and qualifying, with all four drivers qualifying in the top-15. Race day Sunday, the team ran into some early trouble, but still managed to secure two top-15's, a top-20, and a top-25 place finish in the ARCA/ReMax Series Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA 200 presented by Federated Car Care.

As the rain barely held off, Tim George, Jr., driver of the No. 2 Ruby Tuesday Toyota Camry qualified 12th and finished the race in the 24th position, Justin Lofton, driver of the No. 6 Lofton Cattle Toyota Camry captured the Menard Pole Award presented by Ansell and finished 2nd, Steve Arpin, driver of the No. 20 Taylor Motorsports Toyota Camry started 10th and finished 17th, and Craig Goess, Jr. driver of the No. 81 Greenville Toyota Camry started in second position behind his teammate, and went on to finish 17th.

Crew Chief of the No.81 Greenville Toyota Camry was happy with all four team's performances at Salem, saying, 'I thought we were all very competitive through the whole weekend. Everybody was prepared and executed well. The result wasn't what we all had hoped for, but we gained points and all the drivers learned a lot.'

Eddie Sharp was also pleased with this weekend's overall run at the Salem Speedway, 'It was a typical weekend at Salem, even the weather was typical. All four teams worked diligently over the course of the last six weeks to prepare for the race here at Salem and it showed on the track today. I am very proud of all of the team's hard work and am looking forward to the rest of the 2009 Season.'

Next Stop: Eddie Sharp Racing is set to travel to Rockingham, North Carolina to race Sunday, April 19th in the Carolina 200.
