NGK Spark Plugs, Inc. Renews With S&H Motorsports For 2007 Season
HOLLY, Mi (January 19, 2007) - - As the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series approaches, S&H Motorsports is pleased to announce that longtime racing supplier NGK Spark Plugs will return as an associate sponsor on the No. 8 Ford this season. NGK joined the Michigan-based team in 2006 as the official spark plug of S&H Motorsports. By resigning their marketing partner commitment, the organization retains that trademark.
NGK Spark Plugs (USA), Inc. was established in 1966 as a subsidiary of NGK Spark Plug Co, Ltd., of Japan (www.ngkntk.co.jp). Its purpose was to establish and develop a market in the United States for NGK spark plugs and NTK ceramic products. In January 2002, NGK combined NGK Spark Plugs (USA), Inc and NGK Spark Plug Mfg. (USA), Inc. into NGK Spark Plugs (USA) Inc., a West Virginia corporation. The corporate headquarters remain in Irvine, California.
"We're very honored that NGK Spark Plugs, Inc. has agreed to return with our operation for the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series season," said driver Howard Bixman. "We're very pleased with NGK's product and we're very lucky to be carrying their logo once again this season."
He continued, "NGK has offices in Michigan, close to our team and that's exciting. They have been around racing for a very long time and for us to have the opportunity to represent them again is truly an honor. We've been working hard on our program since the completion of the 2006 season, I really think everyone from the marketing partners, teams and series officials will be impressed with the additions and changes we've made to our operation. The bar has been raised again this season, we're ready."
S&H Motorsports will run a limited schedule in 2007 before turning their efforts towards a full championship season in 2008.
